Commission – agency’s fee
With each model job finished, the model agency claims a fixed commission from the model for placing the model and discussing the job details with the client. This placement fee and service fee is usually charged with a commission rate of 25 % of the model’s rate. Some agencies cover the model’s costs for travelling and hotel rooms and the like in advance, adding an additional 5 % fee to a sum total of 30 % commission. In emails and letters the term commission is often abbreviated to AF, short for agency’s fee.
